In order to augment the funds of the Darley Abbey Boy Scouts’ stall at the forthcoming Church day school bazaar, a sale, concert and whist drive were organised at the Darley School on Friday. Our Camera man snapped Mrs. Walter Evans, Archdeacon Noakes, Miss Lloyd and Mrs. Noakes at tea during the afternoon.
The original 63rd troop
This picture is the Wolf Cubs in 1927 – The original cub pack. The whole troop formed in 1927 of which the wolf cubs were a section of.
The two ladies stood at either side are Akela – Winifred Maxfield and Baloo – Winnie Fletcher

World War 1 commences
7th Derby Scouts – formed in 1909
Believed to be the first Troop in Darley Abbey, formed in 1909 the 7th Derby Scouts troop. They met at Mile Ash House, Duffield Road. It is thought that this troop ceased during WW1.
