Scout Group AGM Friday 27th September 2024

7th September 2024 by Sue

This active Scout Group will hold its crucial 2024 Annual general meeting at the Scouts Hall, Darley Abbey, DE22 1DT, on Friday, September 27th, at 7.15 pm. The meeting, which will be followed by campfire sausages and marshmallows, is a key event for our community. We extend an open invitation to all.

Recruitment (Trustees)

We are actively seeking volunteers and Trustees to help run the Group. Your involvement is essential to our operations. We usually hold four Trustee meetings yearly – one each term and the AGM. At the AGM, we elect a Committee of Trustees (Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, plus ordinary members). We particularly welcome applicants from the wider community. Whether you’re interested in a leadership role or a supporting role, we have a place for you.

If you would like to volunteer as a Trustee, please contact Mark Tyrer, Chair, for further details, including how to apply by e-mail at scouts.chair@mtyrer.net or via the letterbox at the Scouts Hall.

Recruitment (Volunteer Leaders)

In addition, we’d love to hear from people interested in becoming volunteer leaders and working directly with the Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts.

More information can be found here:

If you want to become involved with Section meetings, please get in touch with Vivienne Saunders, Lead Volunteer (previously Group Scout Leader and Scout Leader) at 63rdscouts@gmail.com

Finally, Scouts operates because of the generous support of many people—scouting families and neighbours help with all sorts of activities. Some volunteers work on a single event, whilst others are regularly involved with the Group’s activities.

We need your continued support and welcome you to the 63rd at any time of the year. Your involvement is not just appreciated, but it’s also crucial for our success.
