Scouts is for young people aged 10 ½ to 14 years of age and are recognised by their smart green shirts.
Scouts are encouraged to develop their leadership and teamwork skills with many activities revolving around the patrol system. Scouts can complete many challenges, both physical and mental from abseiling to archery and climbing to cooking.
Camping also plays a large part in the Scouting calendar whether it be at Drum Hill our local camp site or Consall Camp.
We pride ourselves on providing an adventurous programme with many of our activities being out and about. Some of our activities include hiking, caving, boating, canoeing, geocaching, archery and rifle shooting.
The Scout Troop also work hard for the community and support such events as “Darley Abbey Day” and Field day every two years which alternate.
The scouts meet at Darley Abbey Scout Hall on a Friday evening from 7.00pm until 9pm.
